Shopify Integration
The Basta Shopify app runs auctions on your existing store with no custom integration work.
If you sell on Shopify, the Basta Shopify app lets you run auctions on your existing store with no custom integration work. You connect your store to a Basta account, turn Shopify products into auction items, and bidding is surfaced directly on your storefront — while orders and outcomes flow back into Shopify.
This is an alternative to integrating the APIs yourself: the app handles the connection between Shopify and Basta for you.

How it works
- Install & connect — install the app from Shopify and link it to your Basta account
- Select products— choose which Shopify products go to auction; they're synced to Basta as items
- Configure the auction — set starting bid, reserve, increments, and timing (see the Glossary)
- Go live — the theme extension shows live bidding on your storefront, refreshing in near real-time
- Sync back — bid activity and item/sale status changes update your store automatically, and winning outcomes can drive Shopify orders
On the storefront
The theme extension renders live auction data into your existing theme. You drop named placeholders into your template and the app keeps them up to date:
- Current bid and next valid ask
- Number of bids
- Time remaining and auction status
Because it works through your theme, the auction experience matches your store's existing look and feel.
Automations with Shopify Flow
The app ships a “Bid Placed” Flow trigger, so you can build no-code automations in Shopify — for example, tagging customers who bid, sending notifications, or updating metafields when bidding activity happens.
